The Frontwhip - Gymnastics
The frontwhip is a techinque very similar to the cartwheel
without hands and the
front
handspring with closed legs. Learn the frontwhip with spread legs at
first.
If you can the the frontwhip with closed legs, it will be much easier
to learn the
cartwheel without hands 360°. Try this into water at first, and then into soft sand.

Technical description: Frontwhip - Gymnastics
- Run straight forward and lift your arms forward-up while running.
- Make a step with your left leg and strike out with your arms. (arms horizontal, elbows close to ears)
The right leg goes up at first, but the left leg catches up in the air. (legs closed when vertical)
- As soon as you are in the air, your arms go to your hip or even further back. (Arms stay staight)
Land on both legs and keep all limbs straightened. (See Fronthandspring)
Trainer advice: Frontwhip - Gymnastics
- Learn the Front Handspring and the Frontwhip with spreaded legs before you try this. You should also be able to perform back or frontflips before you intent this technique.
- Try this into water at first
- Try this into a very soft sandpit.
