Ephedrine is an alkaloid discovered in 1885
by Nagayoshi Nagai ( japan )
It is an illegal drug often used by bodybuilders to speed up metabolism
and burn fat.

Description: Ephedrine ( ma huang su )
- Years ago ephedrine was widely used as an asthma treatment.
At that time same time many athletes claimed to have asthma, to get
access
to the drug. In traditional chinese medicine ephedrine, which was
extracted from
the plant ma huang, ( that's where the name "ma huang su" comes
from )
was used as a treatment for asthma and bronchitis for hundreds of
years.
A couple of years ago more effective medications with less
side effects
replaced ephedrine. However, Ephedrine is still widely used as a
sports drug.
- A lot of bodybuilders use ephedrine in combination
with caffeine and aspirin to burn
fat faster and speed up metabolism. ( a dangerous & unhealthy mix
)
This combination is called ECA stack - For example weight loss pills
often sold on
the internet. Those are taken before a workout.
