Growth Hormones

Growth hormones ( GH ) are hormones that stimulate growth and cell reproduction.
Its anabolic ( building ) effect is often used to gain muscle mass or to grow taller.
Originally growth hormones were used to make cows grow faster or to treat
diseases like muscular dystrophy, osteoporosis or multiple. Many young athletes don't
know about the side effects, are too impatient and therefore resort to growth hormones.
Abuse can lead to significant health problems ( see side effects ).
