Half Sidesplit Stretch

The half sideplit is a stretch for the inside of the thighs and the hips.
Use this stretch to warm up for the sideplits or the scissor splits.

Technical description: Half Sidesplit Stretch

  • Stand with your feet about 3 shoulder widths apart go down on one leg.
    The other leg stays extended.
  • Touch the floor with both hands and press out/back the inside of the thigh of you bent leg
    with the backside of your upper arm.
    ( to make the stretch more intensive )
  • Extend you hip.
    Try to touch the floor with your hips.

 

 

Trainer advice: Half Sidesplit Stretch

  • Use the half sidesplit stretch to warm up for the sideplits or the scissorsplits.
  • For the stretch it doesn't matter if the foot of your frontleg points up or forward.
    Gymnastics style ( toes point forward )
    Wushu style ( toes point up )
