Scissor Split - Groin Stretch
For lots of martial arts kicks
it's necessary to stretch the scissor split.
The scissor split is a groin stretch, similar to the sidesplit.
You will need this kind of flexibility for techniques like the lotus
kick or the split-kick.

Technical description: Scissor Split - Groin Stretch
- Sit down and spread your legs at least 90 degrees.
- Keep your back perfect straight
It doesn't matter if your toes point up or forward.
This depends on the sport you are stretching for.
- There are several exercises you can do when you are in the scissor split.
For example lean to your left or your right foot.

- Warm up at least 5 minutes before you stretch the scissor split.
- This scissor split should not be the first stretch in your routine.
