How to stretch the Sideplits
A sidesplit is when you spread your
legs 180 degress to your sides.
Both knees have to be fully extended. ( sidesplits in chinese:
da cha )

Technical description: How to stretch the Sideplits
- Stand on the soles of your feet and let your legs slide outwards slowly.
( When viewed from above, your legs should always stay in one line )
( When viewed from the side, the angle between hips and spine should amount approximately 90 degrees )
- Keep both knees straightened and and support yourself with your hands.
Leaning forward a bit is ok. ( becasue of the hip-spine angle )
- Make sure you don't slide out on the insides of your feet.
( bad pressure on the knees )
Trainer advice: How to stretch the Sideplits
- Warm up sufficient before you stretch the sidesplits.
- Do the half sideplit stretch as a warmup for the full sidesplit.
- The sidesplit should not be the first exercise in your stretching routine.
- Stretch the scissor splits.
- Slowly slowly slowly !!!
