Triceps Stretch
In this lesson you will learn how to stretch your triceps.
Do this stretch as a warm up for your elbows or before triceps, shoulder
or chest exercises.

Description: Triceps Stretch
- Bend you left arm and put your left hand
behind the back, so that the elbow points straight up.
You can do this standing or sitting on a chair. Keep your upper body
straight.
- Then put your right hand on your left elbow
an pull it towards the center line,
so that the left hand
slides down on the spine and the triceps
is stretched.
The left hand should be between the shoulder blades and when you pull
the elbow closer
to the center line, the hand should slide down vertically.
Don't pull too hard or fast, because you could injure the left shoulder.
Trainer advice: Triceps Stretch
- Hold this stretch for 15 to 30 seconds.
- Stop if your shoulder
feels uncomfortable.
- Do this stretch as a warm up for any upper body
exercise where you push something up or
away from the chest ( for example push ups, military press, triceps
extensions ).
- The illustration above shows how you stretch your left triceps.
If you wanna stretch the right triceps, just do the whole thing the other way
around.
- Nobody needs extreme triceps flexibility.
This stretch should be applied when you warm up your shoulders or between
triceps
exercises. So don't try to achieve incredible triceps flexibility
with this exercise.
You will just mess up your elbows and your shoulders.
