The main difference between the normal negativa (negativa da regional) and the negativa da angola is that the negativa da angola is lower. However, It doesn't matter which negativa you apply, in capoeira only your hands and your feet are allowed to touch the ground. So don't let your hips or your chest touch the floor. Twist your upper body and plant your hands on the ground. At the beginning plant both hands. Later you can try to support yourself with one hand only and protect your face with the other hand.
Move as close as possible to the floor but don't let your hips, chest or head touch the ground. Let your extended leg float in the air.
Then stand back up and go back to the ginga.
