This video shows how to do a capoeira butterfly twist or "Pirulito". The capoeira butterfly twist is pretty much the same as the wushu butterfly twist, only that you have to execute it with only one step form the ginga. The butterfly twist looks extremely nice in a roda, but unfortunately it's not really an effective combat skill. However, you could use the momentum from the twist to throw a kick with your right leg at the landing => Butterfly Axe Kick. Execution
This video shows how to do a left butterfly twist, which is how most b-twists are done in capoeira. However, there is also a reverse b-twist. Note: In wushu there is only one side of this jump.
Start from the ginga and step to the left. Turn you left foot to the left a little.
Swing your torso down and then up to the left, until you look away from your opponent.
At the same time, swing your right leg up towards your opponent.
Jump off your left leg and then close your arms in order to initiate the twist.
Land on the left leg and go back to the ginga as smooth as possible.
The video above shows a left butterfly twist. For most people the right side is a lot more difficult. Learn the left b-twist first.
Learn the wushu butterfly kick (same thing without twist) before you try the twist.
The butterfly twist became popular among capoeiristas after Marc Dacascos did one in the final fight scene of Only the Strong.
Also try the butterfly twist axe.
There is also a 720 butterfly twist, but I have actually never seen one in capoeira. I guess it's because in wushu you have a very long runup, which makes it much easier to create enough momentum for a double rotation. In capoeira on the other hand, you have to do the butterfly twist with one step from the ginga.
