Capoeira - Queixada Kick - Partner Exercise

Execution

  • Start from the ginga, face to face with a training partner.
  • Then, one throws a queixada (outside circle kick) and the other one escapes.
  • Go back to the ginga an repeat.

Advice

  • Take turns kicking and escaping. Kick about 20 times and then rest a few minutes.
  • Always keep your guard up and look at your opponent.
  • Practice the queixada alone before you try it with a training partner.
  • Always warm up and stretch before you practice and capoeira kicks.
