Piked Uphill Auersbach - Capoeira
This video shows "La Mosca" doing a uphill auersbach pike (with extended legs).
This is not a typical capoeira technique, but since I taped this during a

Execution
- Do a round-off and land flat.
- Bounce off the balls of your feet and and swing your arms up like if you were doing a normal back flip. Don't relax your abdominals and look straight forward for a moment.
- Then grab your thighs and pike.
Advice
- Learn the tucked uphill auersbach before you try the auersbach with extended legs.
- Going uphill requires more strength, but technically it makes the auersbach easier.
