Wushu - Chuan Zhang Video (Spear Palm)

This video shows how to do the wushu spear palm mini-form. In Chinese (Mandarin) this exercise is called "Chuan Zhang". The chuanzhang should be a part of your wushu warm up routine - before the sweeps. Also check out the animated wushu section or go back to wushu videos main.

Execution

  • "Spear Palm" is not an exact interpretation. Zhang means palm, but chuan actually means to pass through or bore into something. Some people also who call this "Spear Hand Drop Stance Form"
  • Do 2 carpet lengths and then go to the next exercise (for example the front sweep).

Advice

  • Stretch your flat stances.
  • I recommend you do the chuanzhang before the wushu sweeps.
