Wushu Inside Circle Kick - Li He - Video

This video shows how to do a inside circle kick. In Chinese (Mandarin) this wushu kick is called "Li He". Practice the inside circle kick after the side stretchkick and before the outside circle kick. Also check out the animated wushu section or go back to wushu videos main.

Execution

  • Keep your upper body and your eyes straight. Don't lean back and don't round your back.
  • Slap your right foot into your left palm and the other way around.
  • Make sure your foot slaps into your hand in the down-motion and not while you are kicking up.
  • For a more detailed instruction check the animated tutorial.

Advice

  • Stretch your wushu flat stance and your ankles before you practice the inside circle kick.
  • The slap should be loud and the down motion fast.
  • Use shoes with a soft sole. I recommend the original Fei Yue Wushu Shoes.
  • Do 8 kicks in a row. 4 left, 4 right.
  • Warm up with the wushu chuanzhang form.
