Wushu Front Flip with Back Crash - Video
This video shows how to do a wushu front flip with back crash, which is bit easier than the tucked front flip in gymnastics. In Chinese (Mandarin) this is called "Ke Zi Shaui Di". After the front flip you usually do the
wushu kip-up "Li Yu Da Ting" (also shown in this video). To learn more about the wushu crash style, check out the animated crash style section. Also check out my basic wushu videos or click here to find more crash style videos.
Execution
- Run a few steps and jump from both legs like if you were doing a gymnastic front flip.
- Bounce off from the balls of your feet and keep your knees pretty straight.
- Also throw your hands up as fast and high as possible.
- Then tuck and grab your shins for a moment.
- Extend your arms sideways and land on the balls of your feet, your forearms and your upper back at the same time. Make sure your lower back doesn't touch the floor first and bend your chin towards your chest. The Balls of your feet can touch the floor slightly before your forearms and the upper back.
Advice
- Try this on mats first.
- Don't jump forward too much (jump up) and use shoes. You don't wanna injure your toes.
- Avoid this jump if you have knee, ankle or back problems.
