Execution
- Sit down on your bottom and lift your legs. The knees are slightly bent and the legs are closed.
- Then swing your wushu whip few times over-head. (to the left)
- After a few circles swing your weapon down and under your legs.
- To lift your bottom over the chain, extend your legs really really fast and lean back at the same time.
- At the beginning try only one hop, and then swing your wushu whip back over-head.
- Later you can try to do 5 to 10 hops in row.
Advice
- If the hop seems difficult at the beginning, work on the hop without wushu whip for a while. Sit down, extend your legs and lean back at the same time. If you do this fast enough you should be able to lift your bottom off the ground for a short moment.
- Try to get up with a wushu kip up after the last hop.
- The closer you extend yourself towards the floor the better your bottom hops will look. But at the same they become more difficult.
