Technical description: Roman Chair - Abdominal Exercise

  • Sit onto a roman chair bench and arch your back like illustrated above.
Put your hands to your ears, but don't use them to create momentum.
  • Move down your trunk, without changing the posture of your back.
Move to the point where you couldn't go any further without making a hollow back.
  • Then move up again to the position from where you started.
  • Move your chest ( or elbows ) a bit closer to your hips and contract your abs.
  • When you move up, don't let your trunk pass vertical level ( because that's where your abdominals would lose contraction )
