Technical description: Pulldowns Behind Neck
- Sit down comfortable and keep your back straight and vertical. Don't whip around when you pull down the bar.
Grab the bar approximately 2 shoulder widths apart.
- Pull down the bar until it touches your neck or the top of your back.
It is very important that you pull down the bar in a straight, vertical line.
Don't create momentum. If you elevate one shoulder more than the other, you are trying to pull too much weight.
Exhale when you pull down.
- Release and let the bar move back up slowly. Inhale at the same time.
The bar should move up until your elbows are almost extended.
Don't let the weight pull your shoulder too much.
