Dumbbell Bench Press - Pectorals
The dumbbell bench press is an exercise for the
chest muscles - pectoralis -
where you lie flat on a bench
and press up two dumbbells from your shoulders.

Technical description: Dumbbell Bench Press - Pectorals
- Lie flat on a bench and hold two dumbbells straight
over your shoulders.
Palms face eachother.
Always keep your shoulders down, don't straighten your arms totally.
- Let the weights sink down and inhale at the same time.
Twist the dumbbells, so that your thumbs point to your ears when you reach the lowest position of the movement.
- Then push the dumbbells back up to its original position and exhale.
Twist the weights again, so that your palms face eachother and don't lift your lower back.
Trainer advice: Dumbbell Bench Press - Pectorals
- Move the weights slowly and concentrated.
- Your chest muscles have to stay under contraction during the whole exercise.
