Cable Internal Rotation - Shoulders

In this lesson you will learn how to do cable internal rotations.
This is an exercise for the form and function of your shoulders.
Not for size and explosive strength. So avoid heavy weights and low reps.

Technical description: Cable Internal Rotation - Shoulders

  • Sit on the floor and extend you legs in front of you.
    Look straight forward and keep your spine vertical.
    You can also sit on a bench or lean against something.
    Hold the handle with your right hand and keep the elbow close to your waist ( forearm horizontal ) .
    The left hand can hold on somthing or be placed on the floor.
    Don't move your upper body as you pull the weight.
  • Pull the handle horizontal to the left side of your trunk and don't move your elbow.
    The right elbow has to stay as close as possible to the waist and the upper arm and should only be rotated axial.
    Don't create momentum. Don't twist the upper body.
    Pull the handle with the strength of your shoulder only.
    Your trunk has to stay totally still. Only the right arm moves.
    Inhale.
  • Go back to the beginning position and exhale at the same time.
    The elbow should never move from the waist.
    The back motion is a bit slower.

 

 

Trainer advice: Cable Internal Rotation - Shoulders

  • Stop immediately if your shoulder feels uncomfortable.
  • Don't work with heavy weights or low reps.
