Learn a basic Wing Chun Stance and the Guard Position. The two most important things in Wing Chun are, to have a stable stance and to defend the center line. In wing chun an attack to the center line is the most powerful thing. A stable wing chun stance and a good guard position are very important. In this lesson you will learn both: Stance and Guard.
Description: Wing Chun Stance / Guard Position
Wing Chun Stance
Feet are shoulder width apart. Stand on the balls of your feet,
so that you can twist easily. Toes point in abit.
Knees are bent slighly. Don't push your knees together, to protect
your groin. If your knees point to eachother, this is becasue of the position
of your feet.
Keep your back straight and vertical.
Guard Position
Keep your hands on the center line, to defend your center line.
Relax arm and don't cramp your fingers.
Hands point
forward up.
Trainer advice: Wing Chun Stance / Guard Position
Sand low enough, to keep your center of balance low, but don't stand too low, so that your thighs become sore.
The basic wing chun stance and the guard position are fundamental.
