Short Wushu Exercises

On this page you will find typical wushu exercises like wushu arm circles or chuan zhang.
Because it would be too much work to animate all of them, most exercises are only available as videos. Find basic wushu skills at wushu main.

 

 

Technical description: Short Wushu Exercises

  1. Wushu Arm Circles
    Stand with your feet shoulder width apart and spread your arms to your sides. Arms and shoulders stay in one line during the whole motion. Move down your right hand in front of you, while you move up your left hand. (elbows stay straightened)
    Your feet have to be loose, so that your torso can turn to your left or your right without problems.
    Turn your torso 90 degrees to your left, lift your right arm straight forward and your left arm falls down backwards.
    Let your arms move on, until your right hand points up and your left down. Thats when you turn back to the beginning position and sprad your arms to your sides again. => First half of the wushu arm circle.
    The second half is the same, only thet the "LEFT" hand passes in front of you now.
