Most dog films place human characters at the center, give dogs human voice-overs, or rely on CGI and, increasingly, AI. GOOD DOG: HOME ALONE explores a different approach.
Furiosa commands 99% of the screen time. She was specifically trained for the camera, and we developed a performance approach designed to elicit and capture a range of emotional responses. Rather than simply asking her to perform tricks, we built scenes, situations and emotional beats around her instincts, reactions and individual personality.

Before becoming the star of GOOD DOG, Furiosa's life began very differently.
She was rescued from an animal fair, where she had been kept overnight inside a sack and left piled in a corner with other dogs waiting to be sold. When she arrived, she was covered in scars.
But from the beginning, Furiosa stood out for her extraordinary focus and ability to hold eye contact.
One day, while practicing different scenes in the living room, Furiosa sat on the sofa watching us. As we went through different emotions, we noticed something: she wasn't just watching — she seemed to be mirroring them.
When something felt exciting, she wagged her tail and wanted to join in. But when we acted out an argument, her ears went back — and she even began to shake.
We immediately stopped. We didn't want to stress her.
But a question arose: Could we do this with any emotion? And could it be developed into a skill — one that could become the foundation of a dramatic performance?
We had to find out. Before committing to GOOD DOG: HOME ALONE, we created a short audition video as a test.
For years, we experimented with combining cinematic short films with traditional YouTube content. But with every project, our films became more ambitious—and more time-consuming to create. Eventually, we reached a point where we had to make a choice: make videos for the algorithm, or dedicate ourselves to filmmaking.
GOOD DOG: HOME ALONE is the first project we set out to create purely as a film.
It has already been shot, which is why we can already share the trailer. We're now completing the editing, color grading, sound design, and everything else needed to prepare GOOD DOG for its first film festival journey.
Because the film can't be released publicly while it's on the festival circuit, we're also developing a dedicated TV app so our supporters can experience GOOD DOG as soon as it's ready.

What began with a book about a martial arts adventure evolved into 3D animation and eventually led us into filmmaking. Along the way, we learned to take on every stage of the creative process ourselves — from writing and directing to cinematography, editing, VFX, and even acting.
