Neck Side Stretch

Learn how to stretch the sides of the neck (trapezoid). Please keep in mind that you should not stretch your neck muscles isometrically or ballistically. It's not even necessary to pull the head down with one hand, but if you don't pull too hard it's ok. Neck stretches are important in judo, wrestling, shuaijiao, and wrestling in general. Execution

  • Stand upright and look straight forward.
  • Bend your head down to one side so that the other side of your neck is stretched. Don't look down, up, to the left or the right.
  • Hold the stretch 15 to 30 seconds and then bend your head to the other side.
