Description: Ashi Guruma – Judo

This is a tutorial for the Ashi Guruma (Leg Wheel) to the left side.

  • The right and left hands grab the opponent’s uniform (the left hand grabs the right elbow, and the right hand grabs the left sleeve).
  • Place your right leg in front of your opponent so that your hip is in front of theirs and your knee is in front of their knee.
  • Throw your opponent by pulling their sleeve and pushing their shoulder. They should roll over your leg/hip.

See the Ashi animation above.
