The Fuk Sao is a Wing Chun technique used to defend the centerline. When you perform a Fuk Sao, you push away your opponent’s attack so that you can strike his centerline. Find more Wing Chun techniques at the Wing Chun main page.
Description: Wing Chun Fuk Sao
Opponent attacks your centerline.
When he attacks with his right hand, you defend with your left hand, and vice versa.
Your hand comes from the outside, making him think he will hit your centerline. Place your wrist on his wrist or on his lower forearm.
Slide your fingers over his forearm (to the right side), toward his centerline, and push down his arm at the same time. (Hand moves like a snake.)
Then move your hand further toward his body and push his arm away.
This completes the Fuk Sao technique, from which you can launch any other Wing Chun technique, for example, a linear Wing Chun punch or a push.
