Lying Waist Stretch

Execution

This description explains how to stretch the left side of your waist. To stretch the right side, simply reverse the steps.

  • Lie down on the floor and spread your arms out to the left and right.
  • Extend both legs straight.
  • Lift your left leg over your right leg, then push your right leg forward under the left leg.
  • This movement will rotate your hips counterclockwise (almost 180 degrees) and stretch your waist.
  • Keep your upper body flat on the floor throughout the stretch.

Hold this position for approximately 30 seconds, then repeat on the other side.

Advice

Perform this stretch after abdominal exercises or following wushu butterfly kicks.
