Advice: Sports Supplements

Anabolic steroids are also used to enhance athletic performance, but they are not considered supplements.

Sports supplements should be used to supplement your diet, not replace it. You can take vitamins to prevent deficiencies or drink a protein shake to improve athletic performance, but you should not rely solely on supplements. If you can choose between a protein bar and a real high-protein meal, choose the real meal. If you go to the cinema and can choose between a chocolate bar and a protein bar, choose the protein bar.
