Learn Muay Lao

In this section, you will learn the basics of Muay Lao. Muay Lao is a traditional unarmed martial art from Laos and is technically very similar to Muay Thai. One of the differences is that in Muay Lao, you don’t use head or arm bands.

While most Muay Thai schools only teach modernized Southeast Asian martial art techniques used for competition, many Muay Lao schools in Laos take pride in preserving traditional techniques and practicing traditional stances and applications. However, Muay Thai competitions are very popular all over Southeast Asia, and career opportunities are better in Muay Thai. That’s why many Muay Lao fighters train for Muay Thai events, and Muay Lao is becoming more and more similar to Muay Thai.
